Fashion Friday: Hot Dame

I will make no excuses for lack of posting…But I had a little freetime this week and I thought hey I should post a little look for you all. This week I am featuring the hottest little black dress I’ve ever had the good fortune to wear! The dress is The Vamp from Pinup Girl Clothing.

Dress: Pinup Girl Clothing I actually tried on this dress when I went the the pinup girl clothing boutique many moons ago and fell in love instantly…but alas I was a little too broke to buy it at the time…but as the saying goes “Good things come to those who wait”. The dress went on sale, and is still on sale I might add, so I finally bought my PUG first love. The Vamp is the perfect LBD, form fitted to show off the curves, yet modest enough you wouldn’t feel awkward if you ran into your Grandma while out and about. The fabric is a sturdy cotton poly blend but still comfortable, as reference I am 36″ 27.5″ 36″ and the Medium fits me quite comfortably. Basically The Vamp is everything you could want out of a LBD…But if black isn’t your thing this dress comes in other colourways as well!

The weather was pretty insane this week. I cannot recall a time when Dallas has seen so much ice. So for this week I will be sharing a very winter prepared outfit. Outfit Repeater

Repeating outfits is something I am guilty of all the time, I’m not sure if its out of laziness or lack of clothes, either reason I don’t really care. Anyway here is a look of an outfit I wore while I was out of town on a roadtrip. I wanted to be comfortable but I didn’t want to look like a slob either. I think this outfit has the perfect comfort to style ratio.

Fashion Friday Featuring Onzie

So in my most recent post I had said how yoga clothes are not worth sharing on Fashion Friday…Well the problem wasn’t the fact that they were yoga clothes, the problem was that they weren’t Onzie yoga attire. Seriously I have never seen such pretty activewear before. All of Onzie’s production, that means from knitting to photography, takes place in their Los Angeles facilities. It’s nice to know that there still are 100% USA made companies out there. Onzie was created by 20 year bikram yogi so you can be certain these clothes are just as functional as they are beautiful. “What I Wore” Wednesday

So I may or may not keep up with another outfit post but it’s worth a shot. This outfit I wore on Sunday for a quiet girls night out. Me and some of my lovely friends went to dinner then onto see Star Trek Into Darkness, which is a crazy awesome movie! Benedict Cumberbatch is incredible as Khan. I decided to go with a fresh faced not too fussy outfit and I think this was the perfect balance of style and comfort.

 My absolute favorite thing about this dress has got to be the opening in the back!

Flower: I bought it at the dollar store.

Fashion Friday heads to Dallas Pinup.

So Saturday afternoon my best friend and I headed out for a bit of shopping. I had found out about Dallas Pinup just through searching google for Rockabilly/Pinup clothing stores in the Dallas region. Let me tell you I am beyond thrilled I found this place. The moment I walked through the door I felt as though I had died and gone to my own retail heaven! You walk in and your eyes don’t know where to settle first, the dress rack to your right? The cosmetics in the center? The hats on the left? Oh it’s all so perfect! I totally spaced and forgot to take interior pictures of the store sorry, maybe I was a little too excited 😉 I did manage to remember to snap a few pics of different dresses when I was in the fitting room though.

Almost bought this white dress, it was so darling! Doesn’t my best friend look stunning?

Another considered purchase, I was head over heals in love with the shape.

Please excuse my ever so messy hair, trying on clothes has a way of messing your do up. This romper was sooooo cute but you only get to see the top half cause it was a bit short on me. 😉 I did actually purchase a dress but you’ll just have to wait to see it. I want to give it a proper shoot. But I shall share my outfit I wore that day though.

Fashion Friday (Lady in Red)

Today’s Fashion post is of the outfit I wore on Sunday. I was going to an outdoor food festival thing with some friends, and being that this is Texas I wanted something that was light and was going to keep me cool yet still look stylish. I must say I am quite thrilled with this look and I hope you all are too.

Fashion Friday (It’s May Right?)

Today’s post will be of my outfit yesterday. Normally I am complaining about the heat this time of year, but this is Texas where you can go from wanting snow cones one day to busting your winter coat out the next. We were experiencing quite the cold front, mid 40’s is quite a shock to system let me tell ya.  I wanted to look nice but still stay warm. Here is the look I came up with.
