Fashion Friday Featuring Unique Vintage

Hello my dears I’m so happy its Friday aren’t you? This week I am sharing all about my gorgeous Jane Doe dress I got on sale from the always darling Unique Vintage.

As you probably know Unique Vintage is of my favorite companies, the variety of stock they carry is unbelievable, their customer service is extraordinary, and there is always some sort of sale happening. But more than that this company has a beautiful soul, I’ve never seen a company so invested in their customers, they’re always posting incredibly sweet comments and promoting diversity and body positivity. Honestly it makes me a little bit teary eyed when I think about how much love and support there is in the UV Darling community. So many brands feel so absent from their work, too much corporate and not enough kindness, that is a statement you could never make about UV. So if you’re looking to buy from a company you can believe in Unique Vintage is it.

Now enough gushing lets get to this dress šŸ˜‰21452046195820552167Really feelingĀ those Peter Pan vibes!

2085Dress: Unique VintageĀ Ā this dress is on sale on their site so unfortunately most of the sizes are gone, so if your size isn’t available you can get this dress from Ā Queen of Heartz. I have been on the hunt for a super cute peter pan collared dress ever since I got my bangs (Ya I want to channel Clara Oswald) and like manna from heaven this dress appeared in my online searches and I immediately knew I had to have it. The material of this dress is mostly cotton so its sturdy but still has gorgeous movement, the keyhole detailing adds just the right amount of subtle sexiness, the wide waist band provides definition and glorifies that hourglass silhouette I love so much, and the skirt is oh so fabulously full, taking this bad boy for a spin on the dance floor is going to be a blast let me tell ya! To put it simply I am thrilled with my new purchase.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and that you check out Unique Vintage and Queen of Heartz the best companies around! Happy Friday!

Fashion Friday Featuring Kenley Collins

Hello my darlings. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are slowly but surely coming out of your turkey induced coma’s. Or if you’re one of those people who go Black Friday shopping I hope you got away without being trampled or having a panic attack. But I have to inform you there is one more thing that needs to be put on your Christmas list. You need to get yourself some Kenley Collins goodness. Ā Kenley is a prime example of why buying from a designer is such an excellent idea. All the cuts, lines, and silhouettes are carefully and artfully executed, because true designers understand that a fun print isn’t enough to carry a dress. But Kenley definitely likes her fun prints too, so if you like classic and flattering silhouettes but still want fun and unique prints and patterns look no further than Mrs Collins. Her new line an American Geisha is especially fun and unique, but is still classic enough to not look kooky. So do yourself a favor and check it out, odds are you need a new holiday party dress and while everyone else is wearing the bland LBD’s you can be rocking a colorful and lovely Kenley Collins original.Ā 599460756234details6399silly fall photosHaving a light snack of foliage…as one does.616360616123

Dress: Kenley CollinsĀ Oh this dress though! As any woman knows getting a strapless dress that stays put and looks good is damn near impossible. But this dress flies in the face of reason and says ‘no I will stay put, I wont look like a towel wrapped around you post shower, I will be elegant and lovely, because I have wonderfully supportive boning in the bodice’. I could not be more in love with this dress, the construction is nothing short of miraculous, the print is BEAUTIFUL, size chart is totally on the money accurate, andĀ the materialĀ 100% cotton so its machine washable!!! I know that may not seem like a big deal to some people but since I’m still a child I hate having to go to the drycleaners šŸ˜‰ Thank you Kenley. I love you and your gorgeous (yet practical) designs!

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and that you check out Kenley’s beautiful new line. Happy Friday my loves!

Fashion Friday Featuring Julie Mollo

This week’s Fashion Friday will be featuring none other than the incredible Julie Mollo! Ā I actually had the great pleasure of meeting this lovely lady when I was in Brooklyn back in May, and I was immediately drawn to her, sheĀ just exudes confidence and has such a playful spirit, and her sense of style is the perfect blend of feminine and badass retroĀ babe. These wonderful attributes are carried right into Julie’sĀ designs and its no surprise that several big names have taken notice and commisioned Mrs Mollo to create pieces for them, one of these “Big Names” is none other than Katy Perry! Katy Perry’s style has always been one of the things I most loved about her, and I’ll admit there are several looks of hers I’ve tried to recreate. Now many of us cannot commision designers and don’t have teams to make us look fab…But we can still look like stars because Julie sells her pieces to the masses as well as musicians, performers, and the like. Isn’t that wonderful?352837093584PicMonkey Collage3639378137213564forever twirling38403766and pretending to be a ballerina365937513613and then I happenMy mom was standing out of shot so naturally I had to make a face at her šŸ˜‰

Tutu: Julie MolloĀ I would like to extend a huge thank you to Julie for understanding how so many of us ladies wanted nothing more than to be ballerinas! Now I may not be able to dance en pointe, or just dance in general for that matter, but that does not mean I cannot rock a tutu. This glorious tutu is made from 8 layers of wonderful bouncy tulle and the tie is made from cotton sateen, also another fun factor about the tie is you can tie a bow, knot it, and wear it either fastened in the back or front, its entirely up to you! Since this piece is a true to style tutu it is a bit sheer so I wore a white pencil skirt underneath mine, but you could wear a slip, tights, or even rock a body suit! Julie creates pieces that are easily personalized, and knows that fashion is meant to be fun and a form of expression! So all of her pieces are meant to be styled from one extreme to another, so whether you want to embrace the full girly girl lookĀ or want to add a little bit of edge to your attireĀ Mrs Mollo has what you’re looking for.

I really hope you all liked this post and that you check out the always fabulous Julie Mollo. Happy Friday!

Fashion Friday Featuring Miz Mooz

Woo hoo we have made it through yet another work week, aren’t Friday’s just the best? Even when I do work the weekends I still look forward to Fridays because I really do love posting my Fashion Fridays, and when I have a brand or product that I’m excited to share with you all I’m especially anxious for the weekend to get here.

Well as far as I was concerned this weekend couldn’t get here soon enough, because I have found the most adorable outrageously comfortable shoes in existence, and they are from the absolutely stellar company Miz Mooz. This extraordinary brand started off in a basement in New York City, and in traditional New York City style they grew to incredible heights, and now have their products stocked by several independent retailers. If you check out their products you are sure to see why they have had such success. I’m a relatively picky person so its rare for me to like several products from one company, but I can honestly say I would wear every single pair of shoes Miz Mooz has. Their attention to detail is really the clincher for me, so many companies have almost identical looking products, because let’s face it you can only reinvent the “heel” so many times šŸ˜‰ but somehow Miz Mooz manages to capture the classic elements every shoe lover looks for yet still have that unique edge every individual wants.

Heels: Miz MoozĀ HowĀ do I even begin to explain the Safari’s? The Safaries are flawless, haha but seriously these heels are absolutely wonderful, the oxford and wing tip details make them a stylish classic everyone will love and want, but beauty isn’t everything you know. How many of us have a pair (or several pairs) of shoes that we bought just because they’re pretty, only to later realize we made a huge mistake, and these pretty shoes feel about as good as walking on legos? Well Miz Mooz knows their stuff and has created Ā a beautiful pair of shoes that just so happen to also be the most comfortable pair of heels I’ve ever worn. The stacked heel is a reasonable height so its easy on your arches, there is a built in cushion too so that’s especially good for your arches, and these shoes are made out of the softest smoothest leather I’ve ever experienced, I could probably run in these and not get a single blister. In fact these shoes are so perfect I’m a little angry, thank you Miz Mooz for ruining me for all other shoes haha šŸ˜‰

So if you’re in the market for some great shoes I highly recommend you make the investment and get yourself a pair from Miz Mooz, you will not be sorry.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and that you have a great weekend. Happy Friday my loves.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Fashion Friday heads to Dallas Pinup.

So Saturday afternoon my best friend and I headed out for a bit of shopping. I had found out about Dallas Pinup just through searching google for Rockabilly/Pinup clothing stores in the Dallas region. Let me tell you I am beyond thrilled I found this place. The moment I walked through the door I felt as though I had died and gone to my own retail heaven! You walk in and your eyes don’t know where to settle first, the dress rack to your right? The cosmetics in the center? The hats on the left? Oh it’s all so perfect! I totally spaced and forgot to take interior pictures of the store sorry, maybe I was a little too excited šŸ˜‰ I did manage to remember to snap a few pics of different dresses when I was in the fitting room though.

IMG_9682Almost bought this white dress, it was so darling! Doesn’t my best friend look stunning?

IMG_9679My best friend is such a knock out!

IMG_9686Please excuse my ever so messy hair, trying on clothes has a way of messing your do up. This romper was sooooo cute but you only get to see the top half cause it was a bit short on me. šŸ˜‰ I did actually purchase a dress but you’ll just have to wait to see it. I want to give it a proper shoot. But I shall share my outfit I wore that day though.

9695970397019709IMG_9691Ā She’s such a reluctant model! I have no idea why!
