I decided to have some fun with this week’s Fashion Friday, and do a bit of a 50’s rebel inspired look, while wearing just about the best band shirt there is! If you’re not familiar with JD McPherson please for the love of all that is good familiarize yourself with this incredible band!

There are few things in life I enjoy more than a great concert, and I can honestly say no one puts on a greater show than JD! The amount of artistry and attack that comes to every song will blow your mind. No matter your age and no matter your taste in music I can guarantee you will enjoy the mix of R&B and Old school Rock N Roll the McPherson band dishes out. I’ve have the pleasure of seeing them live a few times and I’m never disappointed, I walk away feeling like it was the first time all over again. Fashion Friday Silly and Sassy

Fashion Friday Can It Be Fall Already?

Is everyone else dying for it to be fall already or is it just me? I want to layer, wear boots, and hats. But alas I live in Texas and it is only now starting to be bearable, that means around 90 degrees for those of you who don’t live here. So here is my best attempt at a fall look that wont result in a heatstroke.

This is one of my favorite cuts for a skirt, they’re slightly longer in the back which is great for modesty’s sake and the have shape that gives a nod to the 50’s which I adore. I could honestly buy one in every color!

Fashion Friday Featuring Onzie

So in my most recent post I had said how yoga clothes are not worth sharing on Fashion Friday…Well the problem wasn’t the fact that they were yoga clothes, the problem was that they weren’t Onzie yoga attire. Seriously I have never seen such pretty activewear before. All of Onzie’s production, that means from knitting to photography, takes place in their Los Angeles facilities. Fashion Friday (What To Wear For The Fourth)

So this week has been nothing but tank tops and yoga pants, and while this is comfortable it does not make for a great Fashion Friday. I try not to stick to a holiday color scheme too much but admittedly I really love the combination of red, white, and blue so the 4th is always a fun fashion day for me.

Fashion Friday (It’s May Right?)

Today’s post will be of my outfit yesterday. Normally I am complaining about the heat this time of year, but this is Texas where you can go from wanting snow cones one day to busting your winter coat out the next. We were experiencing quite the cold front, mid 40’s is quite a shock to system let me tell ya.  I wanted to look nice but still stay warm. Here is the look I came up with.

Fashion Friday (Easter Sunday)

Easter Sunday was lovely, the weather was nice (cloudy in the morning but warm) the food was wonderful (brisket makes this Texan happy), and I got to see my big brother, sister-in-law, and beautiful nephew! It was a great day and if I say so myself I managed a great outfit, but I’ll let you guys be the judge of that.
