Well hearty hello to you all, I hope you’ve all had a good week. Today on the blog I have Pt 2. of my Lil Lou Lou feature. If you already read Pt 1 then you know it was love at first sight for me and this stellar brand. Seriously this company is everything I love; wonderful designs, quality construction, friendly service, and USA manufactured goods. Bandana: Lil Lou Lou Oh so darling yet oh so sturdy. The Rosie bandana is made from 100% cotton and has been sewn and hemmed in such a way that it wont wrinkle and crumple like traditional bandanas so often do. Basically it is the perfect headwrap for a girl who doesn’t want to spend ages trying to get her “rosie” do just right, you seriously just throw it on and voila, adorable hair! Blouse: H&M/Similar Jeans: Old Navy Flats: Payless/Similar
Sunglasses: Unique Vintage Blouse: Ann Taylor/Similar Belt: Vintage/Similar Skirt: Lil Lou Lou to put it simply this skirt completes me. I just cannot get over how much fabric there is, anyone who knows me knows I love a full skirt and believe you me Lil lou lou delivers. One thing Lil Lou lou also delivered was a novelty print I actually love, usually novelty prints just look too sloppy or childish for me to get on board with them, but this skirt has made me a believer in beautiful and fun novelty prints. First off its blue…and for some reason most of my favorite pinup pieces are blue, and the undergarment advertisements that make up the print add just the perfect amount of sass for me. Like I said before this skirt completes me. Flats: Payless/Similar I hope you all enjoyed this post and that you get yourself some fabulous goodies from Lil lou lou! Happy Friday my dears.

Fashion Friday Featuring Lil Lou Lou’s Pt. 1
Hey guys and dolls I hope you’re all doing well, sorry its been a while between posts but I caught a gnarly cold, flew out of state for a few days, and then caught some new cold like sickness from my plane ride back home, UGH! But I am finally on the mend and ready to get back to blogging, and what a fun brand I have to feature this week.
Lil Lou Lou now if the name alone doesn’t get you excited allow me to enlighten you on this awesome company. This wonderful brand specializes in pinup/rockabilly hair accessories and children’s clothing, which sounds simple enough, but I can’t tell you how many times I have been let down by supposed pinup hair accessories, you know the ones I’m talking about. The hair scarves that are just too short to actually make a decent bow, or the hair flowers that look more like wilted flowers after a few wears. Well the owner/designer and all around sweetheart Lily Dueñas understands these frustrations and only supplies wonderful products that you’ll happily wear for a long time. The designs are gorgeous, the construction is high quality and super functional, and you should also be happy to know all the products are proudly manufactured in the grand ole US of A. Basically this is a brand I am more than happy to get behind.
Look 1.modeling is clearly my calling 😉
Cute Knotted Bows: Lil Lou Lous oh my lands I just love these cute little bows. I actually wear my hair in “kitten ears” pretty often cause its an easy pinup do, but it can be a little lack luster at times, well til now that is. The knotted bows add that perfect finishing touch to an otherwise simple hair do.
T-shirt: Atomic Swag
Jeans: Old Navy
Flats: Payless/Similar
Look 2.
Me channeling Miss Amy May’s Modeling skills.
and because these are an accurate representation of how most shoots go 😉
Minnie Headband: Lil Lou Lous This has got to be one of the most appropriately named accessories ever, I mean who doesn’t want to be as adorable as minnie mouse? I love how easy this headband is to wear, since the minnie is elasticized you can just pop it on and not worry about it falling off, which if you’re anything like me that’s a huge selling point! I absolutely hate when my bandanas and bows fall. Also the bow portion can be tied anyway you desire, huzzah to customizable pieces!
Tanktop: Not sure/Similar
Jivin Skirt: Lil Lou Lous unfortunately for you guys I got the last rocket ads print for adults but they have a lovely white as well as a fun blue novelty print that I’ll be featuring soon 😉
Flats: Payless/Similar
I hope you all enjoyed this post and that none of you have caught this terrible cold going around! Check out Lil Lou Lou and be on the look out for Pt 2 of the feature. Happy Friday!
Restricted Shoes Holiday Look.
Goodness gracious! How is it almost Christmas? Where did the time go? I hope you’ve all got your shopping done and are able kick back, relax, and enjoy the Holiday Season.
Restricted Shoes and I wanted to help further that relaxation by partnering together to not only give you a couple of Holiday Party Outfit Inspirations, but also provide you with a discount that will definitely help you chill out. Simply use the code SF40 for 40% off sitewide now through January 31st. Andy Williams sings about how this is the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also be the most expensive, so I know how a good bargain is a gift in and of itself.
It seems to me the 60’s look comes in every winter, I mean who doesn’t want to channel their inner Betty Draper at their next holiday party? But you can still stand out and not look like every other doll there. Break away from the traditional reds, greens, and golds and maybe go for a mint. Mint is totally winter acceptable, just look at the Starbucks menu, mint everything! Oh and be sure to add a heaping helping of sparkle, Christmas lights aren’t the only one’s who get to shine darling.
Earrings: Sam Moon’s/Similar
Dress: Pollypop
Clutch: Charming Charlie’s/Similar
Brooch: Gift/Similar
Bracelet: Sam Moon’s/Similar
Shoes: Restricted Shoes With their bow detailing and white accents these precious flats are going to make you feel lovelier than a Christmas gift wrapped by Martha Stewart herself. One doesn’t always have to don heels to be glam, and if you live somewhere that gets frequent snow or ice, heels can sometimes be a bit of a hazard. Now I’ll be honest, I didn’t find the material on these flats to be incredibly comfortable on the back of my ankles while bare skinned, but pairing them with tights took all discomfort away. Not mention tights are going to keep the cold at bay, and I’m sure with a bit of wearing in the flats will soften up quite nicely.
So if you’re still looking for the perfect “Cinderella” finishing touch to your outfit might I suggest you check Restricted Shoes.
Fashion Friday Featuring Punkabilly
This week’s Fashion Friday will be featuring Punkabilly Clothing. Punkabilly is the result of Tom, a man with a passion for punk rock and rockabilly, meeting Naomi, a highly rated model scout who had always dreamt of becoming a fashion designer. Someone who understands the punk/rockabilly culture and someone who truly understands fashion? A match made in heaven if you ask me. They’re based out of Bangkok Thailand and ship their products worldwide, in fact you get free shipping when you purchase $100 worth of pieces, and let me tell you $100 will get you pretty far. One of the problems I run into with dressing the way I do is that the pinup/rockabilly style can get very expensive! Punkabilly has fabulous prices but doesn’t skimp on quality. My dress is 95% cotton 5% spandex making it sturdy, but comfortable enough to wear for everyday occasions. I actually wore this for Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve, so comfort was pretty important. My measurements are 36″ 27 1/2″ 36″ so I got a size large, and it is a perfect fit, so I’d say they remain true to size. I know how that can always be a bit of a gamble when purchasing items online, so no need for worry here.
Flower Hair Clip Got it at a craft fair but Claires has a great option http://www.claires.com/store/us/goods/hair/cat1260200/barrettes+%26+clips/p65480/glitter+edge+flower+clip/

Fashion Friday Vintage Flair.
Today’s Fashion Friday is of a look I put together after doing my hair. Isn’t it funny how just the way you do your hair can inspire the rest of your outfit? I was extremely happy with this entire look and hope you all like it as much as I do. More wannabe ballerina antics 😉

Fashion Friday Silly and Sassy
I have every intention of taking nice editorial type pictures, but let’s face it I’m far too silly for all that. So I hope you guys enjoy this week’s Fashion Friday. For some reason I was feeling particularly sassy and it certainly shows in the pictures.
So much silly dancing!
All that sass
Top: Old Navy I bought it on clearance so of course they don’t have it, but Forever 21 has a similar shirt http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?Br=F21&Category=top&ProductID=2073956663&VariantID=
Skirt: Cotton On. You guys I am sorry I never have the link to the exact thing I’m wearing but I am a clearance shopper, so what am I to do? Same skirt different print http://us.cottonon.com/shop/product/jeanie-flippy-skirt-black/
Hope you all liked this post and that you have a fabulous weekend.
Outfit Repeater
Repeating outfits is something I am guilty of all the time, I’m not sure if its out of laziness or lack of clothes, either reason I don’t really care. Anyway here is a look of an outfit I wore while I was out of town on a roadtrip. I wanted to be comfortable but I didn’t want to look like a slob either. I think this outfit has the perfect comfort to style ratio.
we have fun during our shoots
Now if you’re not too concerned with comfort and you’re not going to be jumping around 😉 you can always opt for a pair of killer heels. These are my “sitting shoes”
I hope you all enjoyed this look and have a wonderful weekend.

Fashion Friday Can It Be Fall Already?
Is everyone else dying for it to be fall already or is it just me? I want to layer, wear boots, and hats. But alas I live in Texas and it is only now starting to be bearable, that means around 90 degrees for those of you who don’t live here. So here is my best attempt at a fall look that wont result in a heatstroke.
clearly the whole wearing a cardigan thing didn’t last long.
Headband: Fished it out of one of my ribbon nick knack bins. But this headband from Forever 21 is similar http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=f21&Category=hair-accessories-headbands&ProductID=1030188061&VariantID=

Dress: Cotton On bought it on sale so the print I’m wearing is not on their site but they always have this cut of dress, which I am thrilled about.http://us.cottonon.com/shop/product/jenny-dress-blue-foulard/
Flats: Payless. Another purchase that happened a while back but they have similar flats nonetheless http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10276&skuId=132563080&productId=69922&lotId=132563&category=&catdisplayName=Womens
