Fashion Friday Can It Be Fall Already?
Is everyone else dying for it to be fall already or is it just me? I want to layer, wear boots, and hats. But alas I live in Texas and it is only now starting to be bearable, that means around 90 degrees for those of you who don’t live here. So here is my best attempt at a fall look that wont result in a heatstroke.

Fashion Friday Featuring Affirmats
Today’s Fashion Friday is featuring Affirmats. A wonderful company that specializes in eco friendly biodegradable jute yoga mats. Now one might think how could a yoga mat be featured in a fashion post? Well admittedly I would probably think the same thing if I hadn’t seen the beauty that is Affirmats. These mats are not only functional (non slip, nothing worse than a mat that makes you feel like Bambi on ice) but they are beautiful and in turn make oneself feel beautiful. Its hard enough to get the urge to workout but having a mat “tell” you “Look how pretty you are” “I am wonderfully made” or “I am healthy I am wealthy I am love” is just the encouragement you need when trying to tackle “that impossible” pose you’re dying to accomplish. So last Friday my package from Bomber Betty arrived, I got a lipstick in the color Burlesque-esque and a bronzer in the color goddess, I could not be more thrilled, they are absolutely perfect.

This bronzer goes on evenly and looks ever so natural, most bronzers you have to be so crazy careful to use a very light hand or you’ll end up looking like someone from the cast of Jersey Shore. But this bronzer goes on lightly resulting in a perfect sunkissed glow!

It goes on smoothly but doesn’t feel like its going to slip and slide like so many other lipsticks can, that gets ugly fast, let me tell ya. This lipstick should be a staple for every woman if you ask me.

“What I Wore” Wednesday
So I may or may not keep up with another outfit post but it’s worth a shot. This outfit I wore on Sunday for a quiet girls night out. Me and some of my lovely friends went to dinner then onto see Star Trek Into Darkness, which is a crazy awesome movie! Benedict Cumberbatch is incredible as Khan. I decided to go with a fresh faced not too fussy outfit and I think this was the perfect balance of style and comfort.
My absolute favorite thing about this dress has got to be the opening in the back!
Earrings: Cracker barrel, you can find just about everything there!
Flower: I bought it at the dollar store.

Music Monday.
Hello blog readers. I thought I might try my hand at a new regular, scratch that make it semi regular (this is me we’re talking about after all) blog post series, titled Music Monday, this can be about my favorite cd, song, musician, music video, or whatever else I am currently digging that relates to music. So for today’s post I thought I might give you a cd recommendation. I bought myself Keith Harkin’s debut album through Amazon, it arrived last Monday, and I have been unashamedly playing this single cd all week.

OK so I can hear what some of you are thinking, “uh huh sure it’s great, whatever you’re just one of those fan girls, who would buy his cd even if he sounded like a dying cat”. Well you my dear are wrong, very rarely do I buy cd’s. Most of the time I wait for it to hit youtube or pandora cause I’m cheap like that. I also don’t just get the sudden urge to buy whatever music, since I work hard for my money, I want to know that what I am buying is going to be great! Well I hadn’t any doubts, cause I have been to two of Keith’s shows and each time I was blown away by his beautiful vocals, and killer guitar playing skills. Seriously even if Keith wasn’t as good-looking as he so obviously is, I would still be just as much of a fan. Because you cannot argue with raw talent! Honestly I feel like that is the best description I can give Keith…Raw talent! His cd has finally been released and I would highly recommend that you go out and buy yourself a copy, and then buy a copy for someone that you like, because music this great deserves to be shared with the masses.

Keith has some of his own songs on this album which are sublime, as well as compilations and some fabulous covers of classic songs (Everybody’s Talkin’ At Me is my favorite cover). Every song knocks it out of the park though. There is truly a song for everyone on this album, so no matter what your musical tastes may be you will not be disappointed.
