Costumes You Can Wear Again: Sherlock

Hello all! I have yet another fun Halloween look to share. This week I decided to try my hand at channeling my favorite consulting detective and high functioning sociopath Sherlock!

I have to admit I REALLY love this outfit, the purple dress is very reminiscent of the infamous Purple Shirt of Sex (don’t be alarmed its a fandom thing), I feel like my coat is pretty spot on, my tights remind me ever so slightly of the glorious wallpaper that is in Holmes and Watson’s flat, and what’s more English than a pair of oxfords?

Ya I’m pretty proud of this look and hope you all love it as much as I do.

Fashion Friday

I decided to have some fun with this week’s Fashion Friday, and do a bit of a 50’s rebel inspired look, while wearing just about the best band shirt there is! If you’re not familiar with JD McPherson please for the love of all that is good familiarize yourself with this incredible band!

There are few things in life I enjoy more than a great concert, and I can honestly say no one puts on a greater show than JD! The amount of artistry and attack that comes to every song will blow your mind. No matter your age and no matter your taste in music I can guarantee you will enjoy the mix of R&B and Old school Rock N Roll the McPherson band dishes out. I’ve have the pleasure of seeing them live a few times and I’m never disappointed, I walk away feeling like it was the first time all over again. Fashion Friday Irene Adler Inspired

Sunday was the day we have all waited for, well I didn’t wait but that’s besides the point, the third season of Sherlock premiered here in the states. So being the crazy fangirl I am I decided to do an Irene Adler inspired look for the occasion. I’ll be honest I hate the character of Irene but The Woman has style.

See what I mean? Ever so stylish.

Overall I am quite happy with how I executed this look. I of course went more casual with my clothing choice, but I think I pretty much nailed the hair and makeup, and will probably wear this style more often.

Black eyeliner: Besame

Coat: H&M The one I have has sold out but this one is a lovely alternative 

Blouse: Hot Topic bought it ages ago so of course there aren’t anymore but Forever 21 has a great one!

“What I Wore” Wednesday

So I may or may not keep up with another outfit post but it’s worth a shot. This outfit I wore on Sunday for a quiet girls night out. Me and some of my lovely friends went to dinner then onto see Star Trek Into Darkness, which is a crazy awesome movie! Benedict Cumberbatch is incredible as Khan. I decided to go with a fresh faced not too fussy outfit and I think this was the perfect balance of style and comfort.

 My absolute favorite thing about this dress has got to be the opening in the back!

Earrings: Cracker barrel, you can find just about everything there!

Flower: I bought it at the dollar store.

Dress: Cotton On http://us.cottonon.com/search/?q=raven+vintage+dress  couldn’t find the print I’m wearing, but the other prints are gorgeous and this baby is on sale for only $10!

Boots: Atwoods.
