Fashion Friday Featuring Olan Rogers Supply

Hello my darlings welcome to the weekend. As some of you may know I had the incredible opportunity to model with the Olan Rogers Supply team this spring, and I must say I had an absolute blast. I already loved this brand but after getting to know everyone involved my love and respect for them has become tenfold. I’ve never met a nicer group of hilarious and insanely hardworking people in my life. This team is so determined to give their all and present you guys with the absolute best products possible. Long hours, sweat, and even some tears go into every new line these guys put out. Yes the designs are beyond awesome and the shirts are softer than baby blankets made from a cotton candy and fabric softener blend, but its knowing that you’re repping a brand that cares so deeply about their customers that makes this so special.

The new Spring line was completely inspired by films that basically served as mile markers through Olan’s life. It really is the story behind the story that’s always the most interesting, so I say give Olan’s inside look into the inspiration for this new line a read so you can fully appreciate how killer these new designs are.

Fashion Friday Featuring Restricted Shoes Pt 2.

Well a very happy November to you all! Oh gosh I just love that, wishing you a happy November!  Since we’re finally moving into “winter” Texas is getting the rain it so desperately needs and clearly I could not be more thrilled. I was ever so slightly concerned that it might dampen (haha see what I did there?) our photoshoot, but I think it just highlighted my gorgeous flats from Restricted Shoes all the more. Don’t you?

Shoes: Restricted Shoes What a fun spin on the classic oxford!!! The cutout detailing brings a breath of fresh air and a touch of edge to an old favorite, the pointed toe for me is synonymous with high fashion, and the color combo of white and mint keep these bad boys perfectly playful and oh so 50’s! I’m really enjoying these flats a great deal. I’ve had some really bad experiences with ballet flats causing gnarly blisters but the Gimmie is made from really soft faux leather so no blisters for me! Thank God! So I guess what I am saying is these are an all around great pair of flats ❤

Fashion Friday Featuring Lady V London

Well Happy Halloween everyone. Today’s post is not the least bit scary or spooky unless you happen to get the creeps from fabulous dresses at fabulous prices haha.

This week I am featuring the lovely company Lady V London. Lady V is run by husband and wife team Sergio and Victoria whose commitment to their customers, community, and workers is outstanding. From the very start of their company Victoria and Sergio were determined to create beautiful vintage inspired pieces at affordable prices, this means all the products are designed in house, and up until 2013 all of their dresses were made in EU. As of June 2013 Lady V moved their production to London ensuring excellent working conditions, higher standards of construction, and a quicker turn around time producing new designs and stocking old favorites. Beautiful clothes that you can feel good about wearing? Dress: Lady V London To me this dress is a prime example of why the pinup style is so fun and more practical than you might imagine. The versatility of this dress has got to be one of my favorite features. The bow detailing can be removed in order to change the feel of the dress. Plus the timeless design can easily transition from a casual day out by pairing it with a cardigan, ballet flats, and fun 50’s style pony tail, to an elegant night on the town by ditching the cardigan adding some heels, an updo, and some glitzy jewelry. Also in case you’re wondering the fit of this dress is superb, my measurements are 36″ 27.5″ 36″ so I went with a US size 6 (UK size 10) the dress has ample room for the simple things like moving and breathing 😉 but it doesn’t look the least bit sloppy, oh and my favorite part, it actually has sleeves that can handle my shoulders! Fashion Friday Featuring Atomic Swag

Oh my goodness guys I’m so stoked for this week’s feature. As you all know I really enjoy rocking the pinup/rockabilly look, but unfortunately that style can be a bit too dressy. Now I’ve actually come to the point where I no longer care about people thinking I’m too dressy, but some day’s I’d prefer to be a little more chill, and what is more chill than a t-shirt? Well I’ll tell you, a t-shirt from Atomic Swag Apparel. I’m not sure I’ve ever worn a more delightfully soft shirt, seriously it’s like wrapping yourself in your favorite cozy blanket…except these bad boys are way more stylish than walking around wearing a blanket.

Huzzah for excellent quality! Looking good isn’t enough, I need style and quality and Atomic Swag certainly delivers on both accounts.

Since I’m a pinup and a Texan I’ve always had a bit of a softspot for pinup cowgirls and this shirt could not combine those two styles more perfectly.
