Today’s Fashion post is of the outfit I wore on Sunday. I was going to an outdoor food festival thing with some friends, and being that this is Texas I wanted something that was light and was going to keep me cool yet still look stylish. I must say I am quite thrilled with this look and I hope you all are too.
And this is why I wear shorts under my dresses 😉
Earrings: Forever 21 I cannot find the link to these but they have several similar styles. http://www.forever21.com/Search/SearchResult.aspx?dsNav=Ntk:primary%7carrowhead+earrings%7c3%7c,Ny:True,Ro:0,Up:regular&dsDimensionSearch=D:arrowhead+earrings,Dxm:AllPartial,Dxp:3&dsCompoundDimensionSearch=D:arrowhead+earrings,Dxm:AllPartial,Dxp:3&br=f21&keyword=arrowhead+earrings&fromsearch=true
Dress: Cotton On one of my favorite stores ever. Here’s the link to the dress I am wearing http://us.cottonon.com/shop/product/miller-tea-dress-triangle-aztec—crimson/ I loved how this dress had a bit of a 40’s feel to it.
Bracelet: A gift so I’m not sure where it is from.
Bag: Charming Charlies, I just love this bag, it’s the perfect size for everything I need, and I love that I can wear it crossbody.
Shoes: Ross. They’re so comfortable I love these babies, normally sandals rub blisters but these don’t HALLELUJAH!
So this is my outfit I wore on Cinco De Mayo, it was a day full of family, homemade mexican food, margaritas, and sunshine. Pretty much a perfect day if you ask me. haha so model like 😉
This is much more me.
Earrings: Cracker barrel of all places!
Gingham button up: Old Navy
Turquoise ring: Bought it at a pow wow (search to see if pow wows are happening near your town, they’re so much fun)
Skirt: Charlotte Russe
Hope you all had a Happy Cinco De Mayo and that you all have a fabulous weekend.
So with all of the fabulous pictures of coachella blowing up my instagram feed and the fact that just about every summer bohemian style is a big hit, I decided to try my hand at it with some things I already have in my closet. I hope you all like what I came up with.
Clearly sun makes me happy!
Headwrap: Bought it a garage sale, its just a skinny scarf.
Earrings: World Market.
Sunglasses: Forever 21
Black top: No idea it was a gift and the tag is quite faded, knowing the gift giver it was probably a thrift store find, she is quite the hipster.
Wrap: Cotton On.
Bangles: Charlotte Russe.
Ring: Also from Charlotte Russe.
Shorts: Old Navy, they were originally capris but I cut em into shorts.
Anklet: Dress 911 this one I could actually find a link for http://dress911.com/accessories2/jewelry/sugar-crumbs-anklet
I hope you all liked my interpretation of bohemian summer style. What are some of your favorite summer styles? Are you going to be rocking the bohemian style too? I love hearing back from you all so be certain to leave comments!
Easter Sunday was lovely, the weather was nice (cloudy in the morning but warm) the food was wonderful (brisket makes this Texan happy), and I got to see my big brother, sister-in-law, and beautiful nephew! It was a great day and if I say so myself I managed a great outfit, but I’ll let you guys be the judge of that.
Obviously my photographer (little sister) makes me laugh.
Flower hair clip: Claires I think?
Earrings and Necklace: Gift from my mom for my 20th birthday (almost cried when I got them)
Dress: Target isn’t that place amazing?
Bracelet:Gift so I’m not sure where it’s from.
Ring: Bought it at a pow wow.
Shoes: Payless. I almost never wear them though, the don’t stay slung back 😦 oh well
I hope you all enjoyed this post and that you all had a wonderful Easter. Did any of you dress up for it? Get a visit from the Easter bunny? Or anything else fun you care to share? I love hearing from you guys. Happy Friday!
I am sorry I become so lapsed in my blogging. I think having a weekly built in theme of a blog post should do either one of two things, motivate to blog more, or really expose how lazy I truly am 😉 So here it goes I am returning to Fashion Friday posts. This is an outfit I wore on Wednesday when I met up with my friend Lauren and the other bridesmaids, for a girls night out, good food, and some shopping, so I tried to keep it stylish without being stuffy. The weather was absolutely gorgeous so I was able to wear shorts, but I knew night would become a little chilled so I grabbed “my” beloved denim jacket.
Seriously folks this is what happens when I try to model…sigh…such a dork.
Earrings: Charlotte Russe.
Jacket: Stole it from my mothers closet.
Polka dot tank: Charlotte Russe.
Shorts: Cotton On.
Ballet flats: Payless.
Turquoise ring: Bought from a Native American vender up in OK.
Gold Bracelet. Sorry it was a gift so I haven’t a clue.
Purse. Charming Charlies. So I am not a bag person but I absolutely adore this bag. One of the best gifts ever!
I hope you all enjoyed this outfit and post! Happy Friday my lovelies!
I thought I might share some pictures of an impromptu photoshoot I did not so long ago. The impromptu shoot was mostly fueled by the desire to play with some rented lenses…I am now officially saving up to buy myself an EF 85mm f/1.8 USM, because whilst photographing my “not so official” official model for my photography business I couldn’t get over how great this lens is. Of course my model is fantastic and makes my job a lot easier 😉
Can you believe this is a candid shot? She was talking when I took this photo! I never look this good candid, I normally look like I’m about to sneeze or something. She is ridiculously beautiful!
Love those freckles!
Seriously how pretty is she!
I hope you all enjoyed this post, and that you all have a very Happy Monday!!!
Well it’s that time of year already, time to bust out the tank tops and shorts, cause its warm out there folks. So I thought I might share my summery look from the other day with all of you.
Earrings: Charlotte Russe. My wonderful little sister gave these to me.
Necklace: Made it myself. It was my lazy DIY.
Bracelets: Pow wows.
Blue Tank: Costco I think?
Dragonfly Tank: Old Navy.
I hope you all liked this post, and that all of you have a wonderful weekend! Happy Friday!
