Hello my loves, I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. I originally had hoped to share the beautiful Brenda from Queen of Heartz before Christmas, because hello this dress just screams Happy Holidays in its gorgeous red…But we all know Christmas time means you never meet deadlines. However that doesn’t mean you have to wait til next Christmas to scoop up this beauty. I happen to think ringing the New Year in a ravishing red is an excellent idea…also Valentines is right around the corner, just sayin. Twirl test: A++ I mean would you just look at that skirt!

Dress: Queen of Heartz I have long since been a fan of the Brenda, I lusted, I coveted, I pined after it, and now it is in my possession. Sometimes after wanting something for so long and finally getting it you feel a little let down, you built it up too high in your mind. But I can honestly say I’m more in love now than I ever was before. The Brenda is actual dress perfection, the skirt is HUGE and swings like a dream, the wide waist band is mind blowingly flattering, and the scalloped edged neckline is so similar to the masterpiece of a gown Rosemary Clooney wears while singing Love Didn’t Do Right By Me in White Christmas I could cry. Letty Tennant is a dress making goddess and every pinup should own at least one of her pieces…Because after the first you’ll be hooked 😉

Restricted Shoes Holiday Look

Closer than ever to Christmas now. So cannot believe it, and sadly this is my last Restricted inspired Holiday Outfit to share. But we’re going out with a bang. Shoes: Restricted  These heels though! The Doreen’s are like the smoking jacket of heels, velvety soft, comfy and cozy, yet the picture of sophistication and high style. I’m never taking them off, and if you know me at all that’s quite a statement, I’m usually the first girl to ditch her heels and brave it barefooted. But Restricted knocked it out of the park with these. So if you’re hunting for the perfect pair of heels pick the Doreens you wont be sorry!

Fashion Friday Featuring Restricted Shoes Pt 2.

Well a very happy November to you all! Oh gosh I just love that, wishing you a happy November!  Since we’re finally moving into “winter” Texas is getting the rain it so desperately needs and clearly I could not be more thrilled. I was ever so slightly concerned that it might dampen (haha see what I did there?) our photoshoot, but I think it just highlighted my gorgeous flats from Restricted Shoes all the more. Don’t you?

Shoes: Restricted Shoes What a fun spin on the classic oxford!!! The cutout detailing brings a breath of fresh air and a touch of edge to an old favorite, the pointed toe for me is synonymous with high fashion, and the color combo of white and mint keep these bad boys perfectly playful and oh so 50’s! I’m really enjoying these flats a great deal. I’ve had some really bad experiences with ballet flats causing gnarly blisters but the Gimmie is made from really soft faux leather so no blisters for me! Thank God! So I guess what I am saying is these are an all around great pair of flats ❤

Fashion Friday Featuring Lady V London

Well Happy Halloween everyone. Today’s post is not the least bit scary or spooky unless you happen to get the creeps from fabulous dresses at fabulous prices haha.

This week I am featuring the lovely company Lady V London. Lady V is run by husband and wife team Sergio and Victoria whose commitment to their customers, community, and workers is outstanding. From the very start of their company Victoria and Sergio were determined to create beautiful vintage inspired pieces at affordable prices, this means all the products are designed in house, and up until 2013 all of their dresses were made in EU. As of June 2013 Lady V moved their production to London ensuring excellent working conditions, higher standards of construction, and a quicker turn around time producing new designs and stocking old favorites. Beautiful clothes that you can feel good about wearing? Dress: Lady V London To me this dress is a prime example of why the pinup style is so fun and more practical than you might imagine. The versatility of this dress has got to be one of my favorite features. The bow detailing can be removed in order to change the feel of the dress. Plus the timeless design can easily transition from a casual day out by pairing it with a cardigan, ballet flats, and fun 50’s style pony tail, to an elegant night on the town by ditching the cardigan adding some heels, an updo, and some glitzy jewelry. Also in case you’re wondering the fit of this dress is superb, my measurements are 36″ 27.5″ 36″ so I went with a US size 6 (UK size 10) the dress has ample room for the simple things like moving and breathing 😉 but it doesn’t look the least bit sloppy, oh and my favorite part, it actually has sleeves that can handle my shoulders! Halloween Costume Ideas.

Halloween the perfect excuse to wear something fun, eat candy, and spend time with friends. Unfortunately Halloween can also be scary…scary expensive. Costumes can be quite costly, and if you’re like most people you aren’t going to wear it again next year. You’re dropping a lot of cash for a “one wear” outfit. So I decided to throw together a few looks with things most of you ladies will already own, or at the very least can wear again.

For the adventurous type: Pirate.
