Restricted Shoes Holiday Look.

Goodness gracious! How is it almost Christmas? Where did the time go? I hope you’ve all got your shopping done and are able kick back, relax, and enjoy the Holiday Season.

Restricted Shoes and I wanted to help further that relaxation by partnering together to not only give you a couple of Holiday Party Outfit Inspirations, but also provide you with a discount that will definitely help you chill out. Simply use the code SF40 for 40% off sitewide now through January 31st. Andy Williams sings about how this is the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also be the most expensive, so I know how a good bargain is a gift in and of itself.

It seems to me the 60’s look comes in every winter, I mean who doesn’t want to channel their inner Betty Draper at their next holiday party? But you can still stand out and not look like every other doll there. Break away from the traditional reds, greens, and golds and maybe go for a mint. Mint is totally winter acceptable, just look at the Starbucks menu, mint everything! Oh and be sure to add a heaping helping of sparkle, Christmas lights aren’t the only one’s who get to shine darling.

Shoes: Restricted Shoes With their bow detailing and white accents these precious flats are going to make you feel lovelier than a Christmas gift wrapped by Martha Stewart herself. One doesn’t always have to don heels to be glam, and if you live somewhere that gets frequent snow or ice, heels can sometimes be a bit of a hazard. Now I’ll be honest, I didn’t find the material on these flats to be incredibly comfortable on the back of my ankles while bare skinned, but pairing them with tights took all discomfort away. Not mention tights are going to keep the cold at bay, and I’m sure with a bit of wearing in the flats will soften up quite nicely.

So if you’re still looking for the perfect “Cinderella” finishing touch to your outfit might I suggest you check Restricted Shoes.

Fashion Friday: Costumes You Can Wear Again.

Well its almost that time of year again folks, time for pumpkin flavored and scented everything, bulk bags of candy being put on every end cap of your local markets, and terrible expensive prepackaged costumes. Honestly I have no idea why Halloween costumes are so expensive, because lets get real the quality of fabric choices and over all construction is sorely lacking, and if that wasn’t enough you’re only going to wear this outfit once! This is why for the next couple of weeks I am going to be posting Halloween costume ideas made from pieces that you can wear again and might even have in your own closet.

This week’s look is Belle from Beauty and Beast…Belle has always been my favorite Disney princess so pulling this look together was quite  a bit of fun for me. 1390141914651405

Book: Carry around your favorite book, hey it could make a great ice breaker!

Flats: Payless/Similar

I really hope you all enjoyed this post! What are your thoughts on it? Who is your favorite Disney Princess? What was the best costume you ever wore? I’d love to hear from you. Have a happy Friday!

Fashion Friday Featuring Pollypop Boutique

As many of you like minded ladies know dressing in the pinup rockabilly style can really do a number on your bank account, many of the pinup style dresses require yards of fabric and in turn cost a good deal. I don’t mind spending a little more for these types of dresses because I understand that if I tried to make the dress myself just the fabric costs alone would be double the price of said dress. However when I find a company that sells quality pinup and rockabilly dresses at a bargain you can be certain I will be singing their praises and letting you all in on my find. Pollypop Boutique you are a godsend! Not only are they a one stop shop for all your pinup wardrobe needs: dresses, separates, accessories, and even hair products! But the highest price I could find was $73! Which is amazing considering that is usually the clearance prices of most vintage reproduction type stores.  Oh also if reproduction isn’t your thing Pollypop also sells actual vintage! How amazing is that?6131PicMonkey CollageIMG_61616152IMG_6187IMG_6230Vintage Scarf: Season’s Best in Downtown Salisbury Maryland. I absolutely loved this store! If you’re ever in the area you must check this place out! I could have spent all day there stumbling onto one treasure after the other. From Jewelry to Furniture Seasons Best has is it all!

Dress: Pollypop Boutique Absolutely adore this dress, with it’s classic boatneck neckline, waist cinching belt, and perfectly lively and fresh mint hue make it a year round staple piece. Pair it with sandals for spring and summer, and come fall and winter it is going to look positively darling with a cardigan and stockings!

Wedges: Payless bout them years ago, but I like another pair of payless wedges that are too dissimilar and the newer pair I have are worlds more comfortable.

I hope you all check out Pollypop and that you have a wonderful weekend. Happy Friday guys!
