Fashion Friday featuring Cotton On.

As many of you may have noticed a good deal of my wardrobe is from Cotton On. But can you really blame me? Their clothes are always beautiful, they constantly have sales, and not the trickster kind of sales where you actually aren’t saving money but honest to goodness sales, and they are an awesome company that has a true sense of responsibility, you can find out all about the Cotton On Foundation here to learn all about the way they are improving the world and helping others http://www.cottononfoundation.org/ but what I think is really great they make it incredibly easy for customers to make donations right at the checkout! No fussy paperwork to fill out no lifetime commitments have to be made, you can just make a donation then and there.

Umbrella: Target http://www.target.com/p/totes-clear-bubble-umbrella-silver-trim/-/A-10780081#prodSlot=medium_1_6&term=clear+umbrella

Blouse: Cotton On I bought mine on clearance so I couldn’t find the link to the exact one I am wearing so you can check your local Cotton On’s sales rack or buy this similar blouse http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/katja-s/l-shirt-white/

Midi rings: Forever 21 http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?Br=F21&Category=ACC&ProductID=1040665778&VariantID=

Swing skirt: Cotton On http://us.cottonon.com/shop/product/jeanie-flippy-skirt-black/ They’re currently having a sale on these and you can get 2 for $20! This is one of my favorite cuts for a skirt, they’re slightly longer in the back which is great for modesty’s sake and the have shape that gives a nod to the 50’s which I adore. I could honestly buy one in every color!

Boots: Atwoods. Now Atwoods is a country supply store so they don’t have a website to order from, so you can either see if one is near you, or buy some similar ones from Sheplers http://www.sheplers.com/Old-West-Jama-Basic-Western-Cowgirl-Boots-Medium-Toe/21879.pro?parentCategoryId=448&categoryId=459&subCategoryId=460 these are one sale for $54.99 which is practically unheard of when talking about cowboy boots. I’ve seen some boots that cost more than an actual horse! So these are quite the bargain 😉

I hope you all enjoyed this post and that you have a happy Friday!

No Fear Liquid Eyeliner is Here!

Alrighty another tutorial, this time on liquid eyeliner, for those who are new to it or scared to use it you have nothing to fear. I for one find liquid eyeliner easier to use, I didn’t start out that way, I found it kind of difficult at first but after some practice it became a breeze. Before we get into it let me say everyone has different needs when it comes to eyeliner, different eye shapes, skin texture, and eye shape will all change how you need to go about putting it on so keep this in mind. For those who are starting out might I suggest using pencil as a guideline (I don’t do this normally but I’ve been at this for about 3 years) I use zuzu and line close to the lash line

Then pull your eyeliner out for a more cats eye effect

now from here we move on to the liquid eyeliner. I normally use zuzu liquid liner because I prefer its staying power (doesn’t flake or smudge terribly) and that it has a more matte finish, however it is a little difficult to remove (olive oil and soap are what I use for removal) so I will be using l’oreal lineur intense much easier to get off which is a pro, and con it flakes during the day :/

Starting at the tear duct area go over the pencil line with the liquid liner. I find it best to keep eyes open (some people close an eye while putting on liquid I find it harder that way but that may just be me) I also find that I have more stability if I rest my hand on my face while putting on liquid liner.

now if you make any mistakes its fine you can go over them with a q-tip, now from here you can build your cat’s eye as much as you like some like just a slight flick others like a much more dramatic look (I prefer drama but this look is between the two for me)

Hope this has helped! Love you guys!
