Fashion Friday Featuring Time Machine Vintage Pt 2.

Happy Fashion Friday my loves! I finally have Pt 2 of my Time Machine Vintage feature ready for you all, if you didn’t see Pt 1 it can be read here . This is quite different from my first look but I love them both equally and I think it just goes to show how vastly talented Kim is! To go from the understated almost bohemian like beachware look of the 20s/30s to the drama and glamour of the 60’s is absolutely mind blowing to me, clearly Time Machine Vintage knows their stuff, and researches extensively making sure every little detail is on point.

As you can tell from Amanda’s face this was my last full day in Salisbury, as you can see from mine I was in complete denial. I did not want to leave and I cannot wait to get back.

Photography: Amanda Grace Photography Amanda is an absolute joy to be around and I don’t know if she could take a bad picture if she tried. Whatever your portrait needs Amanda is your girl.

Dress: Time Machine Vintage Where to begin with this dress? The beautiful elegant blue fabric with its slight sheen, ability to stay pretty much wrinkle free after it was packed into my luggage, and the fact that is was incredibly comfortable? Or perhaps the perfect details like the little gem on the bust, the lapels, or the glorious bow detail in the back? Or maybe just the fact that this dress is so magnificently constructed that it fit like a second skin? Time Machine Vintage surpasses all expectations and makes you feel even more beautiful than you thought possible. Kim is fabulously talented and so incredibly helpful when it comes to questions and concerns on sizing. She is even more fantastic than her garments which is saying something! Whatever the occasion a Time Machine Vintage piece will be the most glorious icing on the cake.

Shoes: Payless These have quickly become my go to summer sandal.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and that you check out Time Machine Vintage and Amanda Grace Photography. Happy Friday!

Kenley Collins’ Pop Art Line Launch Party

Hello my lovelies! This week’s Fashion Friday is a bit different than most, but I’m sure you will all enjoy it, I know I did!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending Kenley Collins‘ Pop Art Line Launch party at the fantastic Slapback Boutique in Brooklyn New York. I had previously done a feature of one of Kenley’s pieces a few week’s ago (Fashion Friday Featuring Kenley Collins) so I knew this launch party was not to be missed. I booked a flight to Maryland, stayed with my dear friend Amanda, and when the date of the launch party rolled around we made a little roadtrip so we could attend.

Kenley’s new line is inspired by 1960’s pop art and is almost too fabulous for words, that’s why there are so many photos 😉 A picture is worth a thousand words afterall

trioI swear slapback is one of the coolest shops I’ve ever been in!IMG_5973IMG_5982So many beautiful outfits it was hard to know where to begin!IMG_5975IMG_5983Kenley’s new line even has great pieces for guys…but I gotta admit I’d wear one of these bad boys.IMG_6023
IMG_5981IMG_5988IMG_6114IMG_6097IMG_6096A whole lot of photographing going on 😉IMG_6059IMG_5985IMG_6123IMG_6071She’s such a doll!IMG_6021After I stopped creeping on all the beautiful people I decided to try some clothes on.playsuitThe Chain of Hounds Romper where do I begin? The print is a gorgeous teal and cream houndstooth which is perfect for summer, it has pockets! Which are the holy grail of fashion as far as I’m concerned, and the opening in the back adds the just right amount of playfulness and sex appeal.
IMG_6049Quite literally the most flattering swimsuit I’ve ever worn, I mean I even walked out of the changing room into a crowded shop that’s how confident I felt in this swimsuit! I grabbed the top from the Be My Baby Pink Swimsuit and the bottoms from the Tiffany’s Swimsuit and fell madly in love. This swimsuit covers “trouble areas” but accentuates one’s assets. In a day and age where swimsuits are tend to look more like eyepatches than actual articles of clothing its nice to know there are designers who understand that women like to be a little more covered and a lot more stylish!
green dressThe Lucy Chevron Dress  I feel a bit like a broken record when I talk about Kenley’s pieces because when I go to describe them I always come back to the same adjectives: flattering, beautiful, unique, and perfectly constructed! Its amazing how an article of clothing can shoot your confidence through the roof and every piece that Kenley designs does just that. In fact the fit of this dress was so perfect I couldve sworn it was custom made!6045The face of a girl who wants everything she tries on! The struggle is real.

My props to everyone who got up and sang, they all had great voices and way more nerve than I did. There wasn’t enough champagne in the world to get me up there 😉 I particularly enjoyed this gentleman’s performance of Grease Lightning. IMG_6027

All in all I had a fabulous time and could not encourage you enough to check out Kenley’s new line. Its fun, flirty, colorful, and stylish which is just like Ms Collins. Also if you’re lucky enough to live near Brooklyn be sure to stop in to Slapbacks and shop in what is clearly the greatest store around run by the sweetest people I’ve ever had to good fortune to meet. Happy Friday everyone!
