This is my outfit from Monday. We were experiencing bipolar Texas weather, even though it is almost April it was surprisingly cold 50’s during the heat of the day and 32 at night, that may sounds very mild to all of you in colder climates but when you go from the mid 70’s to that it’s quite a shock. So I figured I better take advantage of the cold and wear my lovely knit hat cause it’s gonna be months til it gets this cold again.

My sister’s dog had to join in on the fun too, aren’t we gorgeous 😉

It Was Love At First Sight

Today I am sharing a mini shoot I did of my beautiful nephew Seth. I am going to be totally honest and let you all know I just don’t care for children, but oh my word I love this little guy. The moment I held him I knew that this little boy would be so loved and over photographed by his auntie Sarah.

So Glad I Found Yoga!

For those of you who don’t know I’ve lost a good bit of weight, I can recall seeing the dreaded scale read 178 when I was at my heaviest. Honestly it almost made me cry, I’m such a girl. As of today I have lost 28lbs *Sarah pats herself on the back*. I was never the “skinny girl” but wasn’t necessarily the “fat girl” either, I categorized myself as curvy and could stand to lose a bit of weight.

Black was just about the only color I would wear.

I’ve always been a pretty healthy eater, lean meat, fruits, and veggies you know? But I was never consistent enough in my workouts I would be really dedicated at first, but never made it past 3 weeks. Well one day I was really upset (boy problems of course) so in order to clear my mind I decided to go for a walk, since I was livid the walk turned into basically a march, then a run. I had finally experienced the mindclearing powers of a run and was hooked after that! I kept jogging for several months, I would jog around the park and jog back home, and that is how I lost a good bit of weight to begin with. But I had to stop jogging at Doctors orders after I had a weird dizzy spell spaz episode. So I was bummed, I tried dancing to lose weight…didn’t care for it, also tried weights, liked it but after awhile it made my neck and shoulders hurt. So there I was wondering what to do, so I went on youtube and looked up yoga routines. Thank God I did, I found Tara Stiles and started following her videos and saw even quicker results than jogging gave me. I lost fat from running, but with yoga I am gaining muscle, improving my flexibility, and getting better balance, which for a klutz like me is incredible!

If this post seemed like endless bragging on my part well…it is haha. I’ve worked hard and I am proud of my accomplishments. The only person who can hold you back is you, get out of your own way and make things happen!

Seraphina’s Newborn Session

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing my sweet friend’s beautiful baby girl, considering this was my first newborn shoot I was a tad nervous, but I soon was in my element and having a great time. She was such a great little model. I mean is there anything prettier than a little baby?

Those pursed lips are just too precious!

Fashion Friday is Back.

I am sorry I become so lapsed in my blogging. I think having a weekly built in theme of a blog post should do either one of two things, motivate to blog more, or really expose how lazy I truly am 😉 So here it goes I am returning to Fashion Friday posts. This is an outfit I wore on Wednesday when I met up with my friend Lauren and the other bridesmaids, for a girls night out, good food, and some shopping, so I tried to keep it stylish without being stuffy. The weather was absolutely gorgeous so I was able to wear shorts, but I knew night would become a little chilled so I grabbed “my” beloved denim jacket.

Seriously folks this is what happens when I try to model…sigh…such a dork.

Keith Harkin Concert Pictures

Okay so I am finally posting this blog, sorry for the delay but there were a lot of pictures to go through, story of my life… Anyway I had the pleasure of seeing Keith again on Saturday. Now one might think that after seeing someone a few times it wouldn’t be as fun, exciting, or whatever positive adjective you care to use, but I must say I enjoyed myself just as much maybe even more than previous shows. Not only is Keith an incredible musician but so are the guys he is with, David Bakey is a phenomenal guitar player, and Barry Kerr is quite the jack of all trades, playing wind instruments, vocals, and the mandolin. I could yammer on and on about what a fabulous time I had, but I am sure you would all rather just see the photographs, so here they are.

To say it was a great concert would be an understatement, on top of getting to hear the guys rock out, I managed to get my picture taken with Keith even though the guys had a long bit of driving to do afterwards, talk about someone who is great to their fans.

If you have the opportunity to see Keith perform do not hesitate, buy those tickets it may be one of the best purchases you make all year 😉
